Two Dolphins High Draft Picks Expected To Make Preseason Debuts

DAVIE (CBSMiami/AP) — It’s taken almost the entire preseason but a couple of the Miami Dolphins high draft picks may finally be taking the field.

Dolphins rookies Xavien Howard and Kenyan Drake are expected to make their preseason debuts Thursday against the Tennessee Titans.

Howard missed the first three-plus weeks of training camp recovering from arthroscopic surgery, while Drake has been sidelined by a hamstring injury, but they’re likely to see action in the final preseason tuneup.

“We’re going to play them both,” coach Adam Gase said Sunday. “We don’t want to overdo it, but I think right now they need to play.
