For the past week, Christian Wilkins has been at practice but hasn’t been practicing with the team. He will do warm ups and individual drills, but has not been involved in team drills. Mike McDaniel met with the media yesterday and revealed why Wilkins has not been participating. Instead of a holdout, Wilkins is doing a hold-in while his agent works with the Miami Dolphins on getting the star defensive lineman a new contract. McDaniel said Wilkins’ agent and the team are in negotiation on a long term deal and we can only hope we get news of an extension soon because there is no one more deserving of an extension than Wilkins.
