When Adam Gase took over the Miami Dolphins three years ago the one common opinion was that Gase needed to find the right assistant coaches. He didn’t. Well he didn’t do all that well. You could argue that Vance Joseph was a good pick to run the defense but Matt Burke was not.
The next head coach must take a more streamlined approach and put his ego aside. Finding the right coaching staff is more important than finding a great head coach. The Adam Gase experience should teach that.
Gase hired good quality coaches but made a big mistake with Burke.
