On this day in 2008 the Miami Dolphins faithful and every living member of the 1972 Miami Dolphins perfect team sat glued to their televisions as the Patriots faced off against the Giants in the hopes of finishing their own perfect season.
Ahead of the game several versions of a commercial about “Perfectville” were filmed with Dolphins players welcoming the Patriots to the city of one. Another version had them directing the Patriots away.
Miami obviously didn’t play in that game but the football Gods were not about to let the Patriots gain entrance into the small town with a population of one.
