MIAMI -- Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol, a source told ESPN, more than one month after entering it.

NFL Network was the first to report the news.

Tagovailoa was diagnosed with his second concussion of the season after hitting his head during the Dolphins' loss to the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day. He was placed into protocol the next day and missed the team's final three games of this season.

He was named a first alternate to the Pro Bowl Games but will not attend despite clearing protocol, a source told ESPN.
