Prominent former college coach linked to Dolphins assistant job. And Rizzi in demand

New England Patriots de facto defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who is widely expected to become the next coach of the Dolphins if the sides agree on a contract and finalize a deal, already is working on his new Dolphins staff and has interest in a role for a prominent former college head coach, according to a source.

Flores holds former Wisconsin and Arkansas coach Brett Bielema in high regard, and the two have gotten to know each other well in the past year, with Bielema currently working as a consultant to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

One source briefed on the situation said he believes Bielema - along with others - is receiving consideration for the Dolphins’ defensive coordinator job and could end up on Miami’s coaching staff.
