As the Miami Dolphins prepare for the official start of 2016 free agency on March 9, talks have begun with several players regarding restructuring and/or extending their contracts. In addition to talks of restructuring defensive end Ndamukong Suh’s contract (an option available to the Dolphins based on wording in his original contract) and extending Cameron Wake’s contract (the two sides are reportedly far apart on this one, it’s now been reported that that the Dolphins will restructure linebacker Koa Misi’s contract as well.
Misi, a 2010 second round pick out of Utah, is entering the fourth and last year of a $17.
