Miami Dolphins make first surprise cut releasing Tank Carradine

It has been announced by local media beat writers that the Miami Dolphins are releasing veteran defensive end Tank Carradine. Carradine played well through camp and preseason so that does make it a bit more surprising.

The release means that Charles Harris will be the unquestioned starter at defensive end. It could also be good news for two young players hoping to make the roster. Jonathan Ledbetter and Dewayne Hendrix. Two players, we predicted earlier would be released.

Miami has already released Tyron Holmes and with the Carradine release, Nate Orchard is the longest-tenured player at the position.
