Nick O’Leary has been an interesting pick-up for the Dolphins this year. He has been decent in pass protection and has been good in the passing game when called upon. The Dolphins want to make sure they have him available in 2019 as they have signed him to a one year extension.
The deal is worth upwards of $1.5 million with $500,000 guaranteed so it’s not a bank breaking contract but it will give the Dolphins another season to watch his development.
Signing O’Leary to an extension however does bring up the future of the tight-end position in Miami.
