Bobby McCain gave Miami Dolphins fans a scare when he went down in Thursday nights pre-season game but an MRI has revealed nothing significant. So while McCain will likely be available for the first week of the season, the Dolphins are going to rest him through practice this week and likely sit him out of preseason week four.
McCain moved to safety this year and while he has made some good plays he doesn’t possess the speed to recover if and when he is beat. That could be a problem but in this defensive system, his duties should be simplified.
