Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge announce over $5 million raised

At today’s Miami Dolphins vs. Washington Redskins game, presented by Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, held a half-time presentation to announce that there has been over $5 million raised towards the fight for a cure to cancer.

The Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge is an initiative or the Miami Dolphins Foundation.

DCC IX was run last year and has evolved into the biggest event on the Dolphins non-football calendar. Started in 2010, the event has annually grown. Once run during the season, Tom Garfinkel opted to move the event to February after the season was over. This gave opportunities for others in NFL circles to participate.
