For the first time since Joe Philbin has been head coach of the Miami Dolphins, the team will hold a joint practice during the pre-season. On August 19 and 20, they will travel to Wofford College in South Carolina to practice with and against the Carolina Panthers leading up to their pre-season game on August 22. This will be the first time since 2000 that the Panthers have held a joint practice with another NFL team.
"It's a unique opportunity for us to have our guys practice for two days at a different tempo, at a different level against a different style," Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said.
