Kyler Murray is the second Oklahoma quarterback to win the award in as many years. That being said, Murray will not be on the Miami Dolphins radar in round one of the NFL Draft and not in round seven either and yes, he will probably still be there.
Murray was drafted 9th overall in the Major League Baseball 2018 draft and is under contract with the Oakland A’s for the foreseeable future. Under terms of his contract he was allowed to play football for Oklahoma in 2018 but beyond that, he belongs to the A’s.
There have been two sport athletes in the past but Murray’s contract won’t allow him to do that.
