The 2019 Heisman Trophy winner hails from LSU via Ohio State and Eastern Ohio. As Joe Burrow took to the stand, emotions got the better of him as the reality of what he accomplished set in.
Burrow was up against tough competition with Ohio State fielding two candidates in Justin Fields and Chase Young while Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts rounded out the top four.
After the winner was revealed it was announced that Burrow had broken several Heisman voting records including the largest margin of vote victory, most fan votes, and most first-place votes. He beat runner up Jalen Hurts, 2,608 first-place votes to 762.
