The Miami Dolphins shocked the NFL world when they signed cornerback Byron Jones to what was, at the time, the highest awarded salary at his position. Second on that list, albeit now third, is current Dolphins Xavien Howard.
The Jones signing brings a potential combo that could be reminiscent of the legendary Dolphin duo of Sam Madison and Pat Surtain from the late 1990’s-early 2000’s.
Jones comes from the Dallas Cowboys, where he sent receivers to an island of limited to zero targets when he checked them, as the new Miami cornerback bookend to Howard, could just make this the best tandem in the league today.
