Former Miami Dolphin Jason Taylor among 2017 Hall of Fame nominees

When former Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor retired at the end of the 2011 season, most pundits acknowledged that it was just a matter of time before Taylor would be in the NFL’s Hall of Fame. And now that the requisite five years have passed, Taylor has indeed been nominated in his first year of eligibility to be inducted into Pro Football’s Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Official results were released Wednesday evening, and Taylor was officially placed on the list of 94 initial nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017.

Taylor played both defensive end and linebacker in his 15-year career, with 13 of those seasons as a member of the Miami Dolphins.
