All of the lights have now gone off and the Miami Heats season is over and with it comes the end of Dwyane Wades NBA career. A legend in the NBA, a hero, role model, and philanthropist in the community. As his career moves into the next phase of his life, Wade leaves behind more than a legacy on the hardwood. Much like when Dan Marino retired from the Miami Dolphins, Wade will walk among the select few of the Miami athletic elite. Not because of what he did on the court or the field or on the ice, but what he meant to a community, a city.
