MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Don Shula, the winningest coach in NFL history will be laid to rest on Friday, May 8.
A private funeral Mass for Shula will take place at St. Joseph Church in Miami Beach on Friday, followed by burial at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Doral. The services will be private in keeping with restrictions on large gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Shula passed away peacefully at this home Monday morning at the age of 90.
His family released a message Tuesday morning via the Miami Dolphins Twitter page that reads, “The Shula family thanks all those who have shared their sorrow over the passing of Our Coach.
