Dolphins youth movement: Miami 5th youngest team in NFL

The Miami Dolphins have 89 players on their roster, counting the signing today of wide receiver Tommy Streeter. The average age of those players is just 24.8 years old, the fifth-youngest team in the league. Only the Jacksonville Jaguars (24.5), St. Louis Rams (24.5), Green Bay Packers (24.6), and Houston Texans (24.8) are younger than Miami at this point in the offseason.

Miami has just eight players who have reached their 30th birthday already: cornerback Zack Bowman (30), quarterback Matt Moore (30), tackle Branden Albert (30), punter Brandon Fields (31), cornerback Brent Grimes (31), wide receiver Greg Jennings (31), defensive end Cameron Wake (33), and long snapper John Denney (36).
