The Miami Dolphins waived defensive tackle/end Julius Warmsley, the team announced on Wednesday. The move opens a roster spot for Miami, with no corresponding addition to the team being announced.
Warmsley appeared in five games for the Dolphins this year, recording eight tackles and a quarterback hit. He was signed to a futures contract in January after spending portions of the 2015 season on the Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks practice squads. He was a 2014 undrafted free agent signing by the Houston Texans but was released at the end of training camp before joining the Seahawks practice squad for that season.
