The Miami Dolphins promoted guard Jamil Douglas from the team’s practice squad on Thursday, bringing him to the 53-man roster in time to have him play in the team’s Thursday Night Football loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. On Friday, they once again waived him, and will likely look to put him back on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
The Dolphins were undermanned heading into the Bengals game along the offensive line. Starting center Mike Pouncey has missed all of the 2016 season thus far with a fractured him, while backup center Anthony Steen was out of the game with an ankle injury.
