On Sunday Tannehill threw two passes of over 30 yards. A 30 yard touchdown to Kenny Stills and 47 yard completion to Jarvis Landry. He also threw two deep incompletion’s. One a drop by Landry in good coverage and another well thrown pass deep to Rishard Matthews that was covered well.
Tannehill has been the point of contention in Miami’s inability to throw deep. His wheelhouse is the five to ten yard route but over the last three weeks we have seen marked improvement in his deep throws. Last week in Philadelphia he completed two deep passes.
The Dolphins need Tannehill to continue this improvement and they need to widen their offenses playing field more consistently.
