DAVIE, Fla. -- Adam Gase knows what he’s up against this weekend.
Counterpart Bill Belichick has won more Super Bowl rings (four as head coach of the New England Patriots) than Gase has games under his belt (one) as coach of the Miami Dolphins.
But Sunday’s sideline matchup between Gase and Belichick is one worth keeping an eye on, because it will have a lot to do with the long-term success of the Dolphins’ organization. Other former Dolphins coaches such as Joe Philbin, Tony Sparano and Cam Cameron have struggled to topple Belichick during New England’s run of dominance the past 15 years.
