The deadline has come and gone, and while some moves were expected, there were also some players released that come as a complete shock. Players such as safety Shamiel Gary, Chris Jones and Chimdi Chekwa were at one point candidates to start, but are now looking for work once more.
The biggest surprise however is not who Miami cut, but rather who they kept. The Dolphins have decided - as of right now - to keep three quarterbacks on the roster in Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore and Brandon Doughty, while simultaneously carrying five running backs in Jay Ajayi, Arian Foster, Damien Williams, Isaiah Pead and Kenyan Drake.
