DAVIE, Fla. -- One of the first things that drew Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Bill Lazor to Miami two years ago was the opportunity to work with Joe Philbin. Lazor believed in the former head coach and also that the two would help end the team's six-year playoff drought.
Now, Philbin has been fired after a 1-3 start and Lazor is coaching a struggling offense that is ranked No. 28 in yards per game (314.8) and averaging just 16.3 points per game.
“My first reaction was a sense of disappointment in that I let him down,” Lazor said.
