Hernandez was serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd but for his own reasons opted to take his own life instead of living out those days behind bars. At one time, Hernandez was on the verge of becoming as big a tight end threat for the Patriots as Rob Gronkowski. At his worst he was the best option playing along side of him.
Following the breaking news earlier this morning, Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey spoke about his friend on Instagram.
“To my friend my brother!,” Pouncey wrote. “Through thick and thin right or wrong we never left each other’s side.
