With right tackle Ja’Wuan James out with a toe injury, the assumption was that his replacement would be Jason Fox, who filled in for James late against New England on Thursday.
That might not be the case.
Interim coach Dan Campbell floated the possibility that guard Dallas Thomas might be shifted back to tackle, which likely would open the door for rookie Jamil Douglas to rejoin the starting lineup. Douglas was bumped to the bench when Campbell decided to go with Billy Turner at guard.
“Every scenario is open for us,” Campbell said.
