The Miami Dolphins lost two former University of Miami standouts when Olivier Vernon and Lamar Miller left the team as free agents this week, but it is possible that another former Hurricane standout could be added to the team.
The Dolphins are hosting inside linebacker Sean Spence on a free agent visit this week.
Spence, a 2012 third-round pick, spent the past four seasons in Pittsburgh. He’s only been healthy enough to play the past two seasons, during which he’s started 13 games for the Steelers.
The Miami native, who was a four-year starter at the University of Miami, contributed 37 tackles and one sack in the 14 games he played last season.
