CARLSBAD, Calif. - The Miami Dolphins' top two backup defensive linemen sat out Wednesday's practice nursing injuries.
Mario Williams and Jason Jones, who both began the season as Miami's starting defensive ends, watched Wednesday's practice while they teammates worked.
Williams, who has contributed 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks this season, suffered an ankle injury in Miami's 31-24 win over the San Diego Chargers.
Jason Jones, who has contributed 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season, missed practice with an undisclosed injury.
Their status for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams will be determined by their level of participation in Thursday and Friday's practice session.
