It was only a matter of time before it happened, but the Miami Dolphins have parted ways with veteran wide receiver Greg Jennings, saving them $4 million dollars in cap space and creating $1.5 million in dead money.
Jennings, 32, was signed last season to add some veteran leadership to the locker room, and he also had a previous relationship with former head coach Joe Philbin. He failed to make much of an impact on the field however, only catching 19 passes and 1 touchdown in his lone season with Miami.
Linebacker Koa Misi's contract - as previously reported by the Palm Beach Post - has been restructured so that he will make slightly less money in 2016 with the proviso that this year's contract is fully guaranteed.
