The Miami Dolphins made a couple roster moves Monday evening to address the team's struggling defense, adding veteran cornerback Bene Benwikere to the 53-man roster.
Benwikere, a former fifth-round pick, started 14 of 27 games he played for the Carolina Panthers the past three years before being released last week.
To make room for the 25-year-old cornerback, who has contributed 10 tackles, one interception and four pass breakups, the Dolphins have placed starting strong side linebacker Koa Misi on injured reserve.
Misi, who was in his seventh season as a starter for the Dolphins, suffered a neck injury two weeks ago and has struggled to return to the team.
