According to the PalmBeachPost, Misi has agree to give up some of his 2016 salary but will have the contract fully guaranteed. The new contract will run through 2017 which is when his previous deal was set to run out. By guaranteeing the salary it’s likely Miami will split some of that money over the next two seasons.
The Dolphins have been rumored to be in the market for two new linebackers but this sounds like they will try and find a replacement in the middle and then focus on the draft for an outside linebacker who can work behind Misi for the next year.
