The Miami Dolphins made three picks and a trade during the second night of the 2021 NFL Draft. They started the night with a selection of Oregon safety Jevon Holland with the 36th-overall pick. They then traded up from the 50th selection to the 42nd pick, giving the New York Giants a 2022 third-round pick to make the move. There, they selected Notre Dame tackle Liam Eichenberg.
In the third round, the Dolphins waited until the 81st-overall pick, where they added Boston College tight end Hunter Long. With the three selections, the Dolphins added a likely starter on the offensive line, a player who will compete for a starting position at safety, and a player who will serve as a depth tight end, but has the potential to be a solid pass catcher for the team as needed.
