2021 NFL Draft: Dolphins pick Jaelen Phillips 18th overall

The Miami Dolphins have made their second pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, adding Miami edge rusher Jaelan Phillips with the 18th-overall selection. The move fills a need for the Dolphins, teaming Phillips with Andrew Van Ginkel and Emmanuel Ogbah to provide pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Sewell spent two years at UCLA before taking a year away from football, followed by a season at Miami. He recorded 89 tackles with 12.5 sacks in his collegiate career.

After adding a wide receiver with Jaylen Waddle with the sixth pick and now an edge rusher with the 18th pick, Miami heads into the second round with two more picks.
