DAVIE–The list of finalists for the upcoming Pro Football Hall of Fame class shrunk to 15 tonight, and former Dolphins star Jason Taylor remains on course for induction.
Taylor made the cut, along with LaDainian Tomlinson, Jurt Warner and others, on the strength of a 15-year career in which he set a Miami franchise record with 131 sacks. His 139.5 total sacks rank No. 7 all-time.
This is his first year of eligibility after retiring from the Dolphins following the 2011 season. Taylor spent 1997 through 2007, plus the 2009 and ’11 seasons with Miami.
