Nate Allen was brought in to compete with Walt Aikens and Michael Thomas but the Dolphins also signed T.J. McDonald who will miss the first eight games with a suspension. Allen had fallen out of favor in Oakland as the last couple of years have seen Allen’s production slip. Miami is hoping he will return to the form and play of three years ago.

Nate Allen was a legit prospect coming into the NFL, which was evident by his 2nd round selection by the Philadelphia Eagles. During his tenure there, he was an efficient Safety that understood the game.
