Franks is making the league minimum in 2016 and that’s perfectly fine because frankly, the Dolphins don’t know what he is capable of doing. The one area that the Dolphins completely improved in over Caleb Sturgis was touchbacks where Franks was far more consistent getting the ball out of the endzone. Sadly Miami didn’t get to see Franks field goal attempts all that much.
In 2015, Franks attempted a measly 16 field goals. That is a direct reflection of the offenses inability to generate yards consistently.
