Dolphins Rookie LB Raekwon McMillan Will Miss Entire Season With Torn ACL

Miami Dolphins rookie linebacker Raekwon McMillan suffered a torn ACL in the team's 23-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons in their preseason opener, according to multiple reports.

The injury will cause him to miss the entire 2017 season.

McMillan was running down the field on punt coverage when he suffered the injury, which occurred in the opening minutes of the game.

The Dolphins picked McMillan in the second round of the NFL Draft, and he was expected to start at middle linebacker for them this season. Mike Hull is listed behind McMillan on the depth chart, but they are expected to move Lawrence Timmons from outside linebacker to middle linebacker.

They could also look to free agency to replace McMillan. Perry Riley Jr., DeAndre Levy, and former Dolphin Kelvin Sheppard are possible free agent options to replace him.

Miami will face the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday in their second preseason game.
