Instant Reaction: Dolphins Oust Vikings In 37-35 Thriller

Minnesota came out and controlled the first half, taking a 17-7 lead into the break. Miami responded with 14 straight points to take the lead, and the two sides went back and forth the rest of the way.

The Vikings were able to win the game after scoring two touchdowns in an 11 second span late in the fourth quarter, scoring what looked like the game-winning touchdown. However, the Dolphins scored the tying touchdown with just over a minute left, and then got a safety to win the game.

Turning Point:

This one looked like it was destined for overtime before Miami blocked a punt that went out of the end zone for a safety, giving them the lead and the ball, sealing the victory.

Key Stat:

Miami's offense could not be stopped in this matchup, as they converted 9/13 third downs and gained 493 yards of total offense.

Minnesota MVP:

Running back Matt Asiata had a big game - especially down the stretch - gaining 58 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater also played well, completing 19/26 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns.

Miami MVP:

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill did his part in this one, passing for 396 yards and four touchdowns.
