Dolphins News: Mike Wallace doesn't know if he'll be back in 2015

Polarizing Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace was the center of controversy during the team's Week 17 loss to the New York Jets, either being benched or benching himself depending on who you choose to believe.

Despite all the noise, Wallace told reporters on Monday that he'd like to be back in 2015 after signing a five-year, $60 million deal with the team before the 2013 campaign. He just doesn't know if the team wants him to return.

"I'm not the general manager or anything, or the head coach," Wallace said, via the South Florida Sun Sentinel and NFL.com. "I'm not sure."

Head coach Joe Philbin remains noncommittal about Wallace's 2015 status at this time.

"Nothing has changed right now," Philbin said when asked about his top pass-catcher's future. "I haven't spent one second thinking about 2015 yet."

Wallace did amass 67 catches for 862 yards with 10 touchdowns, but remained a vocal critic of the team's offensive play-calling in offensive coordinator Bill Lazor's first year with the franchise.
