Dolphins News: Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson to play in CFL?

In Dolphins news today, one of the NFL's most outspoken superstars of the last generation of wide receivers may be taking his game to our neighbors to the north.

So says Mike Wilkening of NBC Sports Network's Pro Football Talk: "The Montreal Alouettes will work out the 36-year-old Johnson next week at their minicamp in Vero Beach, Florida, club G.M. Jim Popp said Saturday, according to the team’s website."

Popp also indicated that negotiations with the former Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals wideout “have escalated over the last week," and that a deal could be done sooner rather than later.

Johnson, whose final moment in the NFL at this point was the Dolphins releasing him in August of 2012, tweeted out confirmation of the work out with the Alouettes:

Whether Canada is more prepared to handle the 36-year-old controversy magnet more than the Miami Dolphins and the rest of the NFL has been remains to be seen.
