MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's tennis team (3-0) downed in-state foe Chattanooga (3-2), Sunday.
"Great effort today by our team," head coach said. "We were tested at a few positions in today's match and I was proud of how the girls responded. We are also starting to play some good doubles and that is exciting to see."
Memphis got on the board first because of the doubles play. The team of seniors and got Memphis' first win of the day, 6-2, at three doubles, then the team of Hanna Paul and Josephine Paul sealed the Tiger doubles point win with a 6-2 decision at two doubles.
