CINCINNATI – The University of Memphis women's tennis team (11-6, 1-0 American) picked up a 4-2 road win at Xavier (8-10), Friday, at the beginning of their final regular season road trip.
"This was a very intense match today," Head Coach Hayden Perez said. "Xavier battled hard and every court was contested. I was proud of the way we competed. We were focused and determined and this team is fun to watch when we are doing that. It was a great match by both teams."
Memphis took an early edge in the match with 6-4 wins at two and three doubles for a 1-0 lead.
