MEMPHIS – Facing a home standing LSU (4-1) team that had just dropped out of the national rankings, the Memphis women's tennis team (3-1) battled, but fell 5-0, Saturday.
Memphis was without junior , which moved the Memphis singles lineup up and forced a doubles lineup change. While the number one team of and were still united at one doubles and building a 5-3 lead over the number 27 ranked team of Joana Valle Costa and Ryann Foster, freshman had to step in to two doubles. LSU took advantage of the new pairing and grabbed a 6-0 win to start the afternoon.
