Women’s Tennis Earns Eighth Straight ITA Academic Award

MEMPHIS – For an eighth straight season, the University of Memphis women's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic team it was announced, Wednesday. In addition to the team award, six individual Tigers earned ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction for having a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the past academic year.

Both seniors from the 2017 roster earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors: Marta Morga and Gabrielle Paul. Morga becomes the sixth different women's tennis player to earn an ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction for a fourth straight season. She joins Courtney Collins (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), Andrea Feichtinger (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), Kelly Gray (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), Alyssa Hibberd (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), and Dara Toulch (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010) as players who posted a 3.
