NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 24 University of Memphis women's soccer team improved to 4-0 for the first time since the magical 2011 season with a 6-0 victory over Rhode Island Friday evening at the Music City Invitational. The Tigers scored three goals in the first half and three in the second en route to the shutout victory.

The last time that Memphis scored six goals in a match was during the 2013 season when the Tigers achieved that feat, twice, against Alabama and Houston.

"I'm pleased with the result. You have to be pleased when you get a victory," said head coach Brooks Monaghan.
