Women's Golf Rockets to Fourth at AAC Championships

PALM COAST, FLORIDA – Memphis jumped to fourth in the team standings with a second round 292, a 12-stroke improvement on their first-round score, at the American Athletic Conference Championships Monday. The Lady Tigers (596) are one stroke behind third place East Carolina (595) and five strokes behind second place UCF (591). Houston continues to lead the team competition with a day two 284 and a 571 for 36 holes.

Memphis still has two golfers in the top 10 in the individual race. Michaela Fletcher carded a birdie on six and then was bogey-free the rest of the day for a day two 71 (-1) to move to fifth place overall.
