PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Make it four in a row for the University of Memphis women's cross country team.
The Tigers earned the American Athletic Conference Academic Excellence Award for the fourth-consecutive year, the league office announced Tuesday. Memphis also took home the honor in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
The women's cross country squad is the third Memphis program to receive an American Athletic Conference Academic Excellence Award this fall. The Tigers men's and women's soccer teams also earned the accolade.
Memphis has led the American Athletic Conference in team academic excellence awards each year the Tigers have been in the league.
