Women's Basketball Senior Salute: Gazmyne Herndon

Gazmyne Herndon, a transfer from Walters State Community College, returned to her hometown to compete for the Tigers in 2018. In two years, Herndon appeared in 62 games with 48 starts.

As the starting point guard for the Tigers, Herndon racked up 450 points in two seasons, an average of 7.3 points per game. She also pulled down 252 career rebounds and finished her career with 208 assists.

2019-20 (Senior)

  • Started in 29 games with 31 total appearances
  • Averaged a career-high 8.4 points, ranking fourth on the team
  • Led the Tigers with 120 assists, the 10th-most assists in a single-season by a Memphis senior
  • Recorded a career-high 37 steals, including a career-high five in the win against Mississippi Valley State
  • Dished out a career-high nine assists at UConn on Feb.
