MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tigers senior forward DeAndre Williams is one of 20 student-athletes on the watch list for the 2022 Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award, announced Thursday by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Williams, a Preseason All-American Athletic Conference Second Team selection, finished second on the team in scoring last season at 11.7 points per game. He became eligible prior to Memphis' Dec. 16 game at Tulane last year and helped the Tigers to a 16-5 record in the games that followed, with the five losses by a combined 15 points.
